So I am still moving forward with the release of “Beyond the Law”. I haven’t a clue if I am selling well or not. My online album sales are really poor and I still haven’t received my sales figures from iTunes. So either my album is a failure or I have some moderate success of the release. My biggest worry is that I am falling under the “jazz record label” mentality that you have to spend $1,000 to make $300. This isn’t how you do business. I haven’t done any tour support for the album which is typically the best way to promote a release. All I can do is remain positive about the whole thing so I don’t jinx myself.
Shooting for the music video “Decayed Events” wrapped this past weekend in Los Angeles. Jim Towns said he should have it edited and ready for release mid-July so I am super excited by that. My friend flapper horror star Bianca Barnett was in the video. I did a music video a few months ago but it wasn’t very good so this new one will be better. It was filmed in terrifying catacombs of the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood and in Bronson Canyon(of 50's science fiction film legend), where it was about 104 degrees.
(portions of that last paragraph was actually lifted from Jim's blog)
I am planning on doing a music video for every single off the album. I am going to contact some directors and just tell them to just go for an artistic direction to them and create it. My philosophy that when you create art you are grabbing it from the collective subconscious so when you have other artists build on that they are tapping it from the same source. It’s like a chaotic form of art. There are some people that are very detailed and very controlling with their work which is fine but I am the exact opposite. I have been writing a script for “Babylon Train” and I already have a script written (by Jim) for “Club Monbijou” that has been in pre-production limbo until I find a location. Actually I have found locations but the cost to film there were expensive (see 1st paragraph above).

The warm weather returned to New England today. I was able to go outside without a jacket on. I haven't been able to do that since I was in Hollywood back in February.
The CD "Beyond the Law" is still at the manufacturer. I approved the final design from the graphics department so they are pressing it now. I still have roughly 17 more things that has to get done from now until May 27th when it is released. Not included in those tasks is producing the music video for "Club Monbijou". I am still trying to pinpoint a location which I am dearly hoping I can get resolved by the end of this week.
I am already coming up with new music to create. I feel like the last song I completed "Babylon Train" was a start of a completely different realm of music I never tried out. I guess it can't hurt to start writing lyrics and music while I am inspired.
I have been singing a lot lately. I think because of the bacterial infection I had it scared me to think that I could have never sung again. So now I am singing all the time everywhere I go. I am not singing it loudly but I am sure if someone walked passed me they probably thought I was nuts.

This past weekend I was an extra again for Ghosts of Girlfriends Past shot at the Cranes Estate in Ipswich. It was a long day over 13 hours. It was very rainy and muddy which made it kind of a pain to go from the tent where all the extras waited to go on set to go to the mansion where they were shooting. The crew for the film seemed very mellow and relaxed. I have been on some film sets where everyone is all stressed or grumpy which makes it unpleasant.
Production for the music video "Club Monbijou" is underway. Mike McKown will be directing it, Jim Towns will be the art director for it and it will be filmed in Boston. I already have wardrobe and a production assistant for the video as well. This week I am going to scout for a locations for the video. The following week I will start casting for it. I am hoping to have it filmed in May time frame.
The album production is moving along. I should have the mastering session scheduled for next week. I am still looking at some tracks to place onto the album.
I really like the graphic novel "Y the Last Man" which is about this mysterious virus that kills every man on Earth instantly except this one guy and his monkey. Sounds like every man's dream right? Unfortunately, a section of the women in the new world adopt the amazon persona and want to kill him. It's like a zombie film in which everything deal with social chaos but without the dead. The series is very popular and was running for 5 years.
I don't like daylight savings time

So after eating a huge Thanksgiving dinner and having time off I wondered "what should I do today? I know! how about I will make a music video". So I took out a digital camera, filmed some footage, made some edits and I was done.
So here it is my first single "Decayed Events" off my upcoming album "Beyond The Law" . Copy of lyrics here
