Every year Salem has a pet Halloween costume contest. Here are some of the notable costumes:

First was the cat costume contest. Which was separated by the dog costume contest by nearly 2 hours! (for obvious reasons)


That is Jack Sparrow on the left and on the right is Sabrina who won the title of "Official Cat of Salem"

The funniest thing I had seen at the cat costume contest is one cat that refused to leave his cage. The owner won a honorable prize and tried to give some treats to the cat and all I could see was this big cat claw reach out and try to attack the owner. The dog contest had sign on the rules of entry and one small dog (another one dressed as a bee) had walked over to it and peed on it!
